About Dr. Wilkerson
Dr. Wilkerson earned her Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Kansas and completed post-doctoral fellowships at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and the Lynn Health Science Institute in Oklahoma City. She has experience coordinating and managing clinical trials across a myriad of conditions.
Dr. Wilkerson worked in the Office of Technology Commercialization at the University of Oklahoma where she focused on a coordinated strategy of intellectual property protection and marketing to potential industry partners to enable the commercial development of technologies.
Dr. Wilkerson has also served as primary subject matter expert within i2E and Plains Ventures, working closely with the management of early-stage ventures to ready them for an efficient round of capital. As investment principal, she managed life sciences portfolio companies with three board seats (across drug, diagnostic, and device companies) along with executing deep-dive diligence to assess the merit and market potential of new investment opportunities.

Dr. Wilkerson leverages her professional perspectives from academia, clinical trials, technology transfer, venture advising, and early-stage investing to help grow innovative life sciences ventures. The mission at MW Life Sciences Consulting is to help founders, investors, and university technology managers with commercialization and diligence activities. This is accomplished by providing comprehensive consulting services that are tailored to the unique needs of each client.
